I've tried to reproduce this with my joysticks, without the 'joystick'
driver installed. Here evdev refused to use the devices, so I can't get
a backtrace from it. Someone else should do that then :)

Ari, you got the previous backtrace.. can you get a new one? First make
sure that you don't have 'xserver-xorg-input-joystick' installed to let
evdev grab the device.

ps. this is not a bug in the joystick driver, since it's not used when
it crashes..
