Thanks for your fast answer. The document I used is a new unsaved writer document with simple text. I can reproduce this crash every time with every document (on other computers with german version too).
Operations: - I start OpenOffice Writer, wrote some text. - start the menu: Insert -> Footnote ... - the dialog "Insert Footnote" opened - tab/click on the push button "..." => System hangs - I can only click on the X (window delete button) of the dialog. - An alert is shown: "Insert Footnote" don't answer. ... - I shut down and OpenOffice is closed.
