** Summary changed:

- could not install 'nvidia-glx-new'
+ (INVALID)could not install 'nvidia-glx-new'

** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: update-manager

while attempting to upgrade to intrepid from hardy (again, i must be a
glutton for punishment) i got this error message - could not install
  'nvidia-glx-new'

  further info -

" The upgrade will continue but the 'nvidia-glx-new' package may be in a
not working state. Please consider submitting a bug report about it.

"subprocess post-removal script returned error exit status 2 "

and if i remember the last time (a few days ago) i tried to upgrade i
got a load more errors, whether this is because im upgrading to a beta i
  dont know.
+
+ " I have had to mark this as invalid, the reason being is that because i do
my testing on my personal system i need at least a half working system, and so
i had to install kubtunu using a the cd i burned of the intrepid beta. although
i did still have some trouble enabling the nvidia 177.80 driver, that was until
the kernel was updated to 2.6.27-7-generic)
+ sorry for any problems this may have caused.
+ i do have 2 other systems that are running hardy , and will be needing
upgrading to intrepid, one uses an nvidia agp card, so if i run into the same
problem when it comes to upgrading i will post the required logs. "
+
+ many thanks
