Based on David's screenshots, and comparing to dmesg for a successful boot on the same machine, it looks like it's crashing between:
iwl3945: Tunable channels: 11 802.11bg, 13 802.11a channels and phy0: Selected rate control algorithm 'iwl-3945-rs' Is that consistent with what others are seeing?
