1) Yes this is still very much an issue.

I have since found that sometimes the system comes to a complete stop.
And when I reboot, the icon to show there are new updates available for
download is showing.

2) I am not currently willing to upgrade to another version of Ubuntu. I have
got Feisty working well enough. But it had problems with sound, and firewire
port access, just about every upgrade since breezy. And I do not want to go
through the diagnosis/research/repair process (the research is the time
consumer).
Plus the more recent versions have increased hardware requirements, which I do
not want to have to worry about.

So if you want me to upgrade to somehow help diagnose the cause of this
problem, or if it is a known fix for the problem, then the chances of
that happening are not great in the near future.

3) But if you have some questions as to what else may help isolate the
problem, diagnose, or run some tests, or try some fixes, then I Am
willing.

4) I will update some additional information the the actual bug report.

5) Can somebody let me know why the bug report has been marked as
incomplete, and please let me know what is required to get the bug
diagnosis process going?

Thank you.
