The problem seems to come an unexisting script file, see the end of the given dpkg log: Setting up cupsys (1.2.8-0ubuntu8) ... ln: accessing `/usr/lib/cups/backend-available/dnssd': No such file or directory.
On Ubuntu 8.04 I have the script dnssd. How did you make the downgrade? Did you try to reinstall cupsys (1.2.8)? ** Summary changed: - package cupsys 1.2.8-0ubuntu8 failed to install/upgrade: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 1 + [Hardy] package cupsys 1.2.8-0ubuntu8 failed to downgrade from 1.3 -- [Hardy] package cupsys 1.2.8-0ubuntu8 failed to downgrade from 1.3 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/268972 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
