Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: yelp

Using Ubuntu 8.10 (updated 12.00pm Friday 17/10/2008)
When opening any windows the menu bar overlays the upper gnome taskbar.
this makes it impossible to open another program from the gnome taskbar.

It is not possible to resize, minimise or move any windows.
It is not possible to switch between windows either with the mouse or by
ctrl-tabbing.
(I managed to open multiple windows by openeing a terminal and launching
programs from there)

This is a dell vostro 1400.
