Public bug reported:

After a clean install of the 6.06.1 server the filesystem is not
mounted. This is on a Dell PowerEdge 1400SC with 3 IDE drives, no RAID.
All drives were repartitioned and formatted during install. System is
installed on hda. I've tried installing several times with same result.

Here's what I get on reboot:

Uncompressing Linux... Ok, booting the kernel.
mdadm: /dev/md0 has been started with 1 drive (out of 2).
mdadm: /dev/md1 has been started with 1 drive (out of 2).
mount: Mounting /dev/hda1 on /root failed: Device or resource busy
mount: Mounting /root/dev on /dev/.static/dev failed: No such file or directory
mount: Mounting /sys on /root/sys failed: No such file or directory
mount: Mounting /proc on /root/proc failed: No such file or directory
Target filesystem doesn't have /sbin/init
