No, I think it is a different bug. The bug you linked to above implies the user actually sees the export dialog box :-
"EasyChem crashes without warning after selecting a filename for the exported file and clicking 'OK'" However for me EasyChem crashes before showing the export dialog box. Also, the bug does not appear if pstoedit is not installed.
