I am using Ubuntu Hardy with kernel 2.6.24-21, and my webcam creative video blaster III does not work with skype I have successfully build and run a modified version version of this module ( http://forum.skype.com/index.php?showtopic=101297&st=280&p=466914&;) Please use "modprobe compress=1 forceblock=1" when loading the module as the video if you want more a good framerate over quality.
