Public bug reported: I run Intrepid kernel 2.6.27-7 on a Thinkpad X60. Everything is set to PulseAudio.
Problem #1. If I don't mute the mike, I get a very loud feedback noise (unless, of course, I mute the speakers too, in which case I get no sound.) Problem #2. The EXTERNAL keyboard buttons for increasing/decreasing volume and mute put up a pretty display of a scrollbar and an X, but they have no actual effect on sound. The buttons on the laptop work fine. It isn't a huge problem for me, but it was very confusing when trying to debug my other problem.
