I think you didn't understand the problem. The upstream bug that is linked to this is reported by me, and it tals about postscript documents. What I said is that I am not sure that this bug is only related to PS documents. In my case it is, but if you read the upstream bug you can understand that for other people the problem is with PDFs. Unfortunately, some files downloaded from the web with .pdf extension are in reality .ps . So it is difficult to say whether these are two different bugs or not.
In each case the alert was made upstream so if you can leave the bug closed.
