Public bug reported: I installed the package 'beep' in ibex since I used it a lot in hardy. However when I went to use it I discovered I would get the error "bash: /usr/bin/beep: Permission denied"
I tried completely removing the package and installing it again in case anything went wrong but it didn't help. Going to the file in nautilus showed me that "Allow executing file as program" is unchecked. ** Affects: beep (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Beep isn't excutable by default in intrepid https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/287517 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
