Public bug reported:

I had used scim well since I installed Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid) beta for
approximately 2 weeks or more. However, it suddenly did not work from 2
or 3 days ago (19th or 20th?) and still doesn't. I believe some updates
I had a few days ago caused this.

My problem is that when I press the hotkey to change the input method to
the one for another language that is Korean in my case, neither the scim
icon on the tray is changed nor scim is working. I did not change any
configuration related to scim. When it worked, if I click on the scim
icon on the tray, I could see available input methods which were English
and Korean yet now it does not appear when I click on it.

I'm not sure what kind of information I need to put here to give some
idea to the development team so could you please let me know what to do?

I'm using Ubuntu 8.10 (Intrepid) beta version updated about one hour ago and
the kernel is
2.6.27-7-generic

and the following lines are what I got when I checked the currently
working processes the names of which contain the word 'scim'.

$ ps -Al | grep scim
1 S 1000 5973 1 0 80 0 - 11586 select ? 00:00:00 scim-launcher
1 S 1000 5980 1 0 80 0 - 6866 select ? 00:00:00
scim-helper-man
1 S 1000 5981 1 0 80 0 - 35944 poll ? 00:00:00 scim-panel-gtk
1 S 1000 5983 1 0 80 0 - 11535 select ? 00:00:00 scim-launcher

Kevin
