hello again. i tried the code provided (sudo rmmod btusb && sudo modprobe btusb reset=1) but it didnt do anything im afraid.
at least i now know that my adaptr is being seen by the system, it just doesnt load anything up so i can use it, although i would like to point out that when i switched from ubuntu to kubuntu my bluetooth worked, but when i upgraded to kde 4.1 the bluetooth stopped altogether, this happened on 2 different machines, and i would guess that if i upgraded to kde 4.1 on one of the other systems the same would happen. i dont know if its relevant, but i thought id mention it. the out put from lsusb is - Bus 004 Device 003: ID 0dda:2026 Integrated Circuit Solution, Inc.
