I have an update on this issue on Hardy. Although no error message was given, there is some misbehaviour that can be related to this bug.
When I move the slider forward and backward while the file is being played, at some point the sound output is stopped, slider usually jumps to the beginning of the file (once it was at 18 sec from the beginning), the controls shows that it is still playing. It is not possible to resume the playback from the totem controls in any way I tried, the only way is to re-open the file. When trying to move the slider at this state, it always jumps back to the freeze point. I've tested about 10 files, same behaviour occured in all of them, except one.
