FastTrack was disabled in Debian some time ago due to the proprietary
nature of the network. I'm not sure if this has changed but I would be
happy to see a discussion of the issues involved. I would like to see
the network enabled as well. Gnutella 1 and 2 are not supported in
mldonkey which is quite a shame as they used to work in older versions.
But there is nothing the Ubuntu folks can do about that. Although I'm
not positive I think kademlia is also disabled. If so that should
definitely be enabled as it's one of the more popular networks these
days and is not proprietary as far as I know. In any case I'm thinking
I might build the packages myself with the networks I want. If so I'll
post some instructions on how to do so.
