The version affected was 2.4.0 in Hardy I believe. Usually MSN group chat works fine but in very specific conditions it seems to send Pidgin into an endless loop. Unfortunately I'm unable to perform a backtrace on the issue as I can't easily reproduce the error and the software required refuses to install correctly.
