Speaking as someone who is waiting at -19 until all these issues are
ironed out (why was this released to -Update before all the bugs were
ironed out I don't know)... surely this type of processing can be done
in the pre-and post-install logic?

Please could you make it easy for the rest of us who are still at the
"open Update Manager, click on Check, supply password, click on Install
and let it run" stage...

I am eagerly awaiting a notice of the type "Kernel -21 has been fully
resolved, along with all sequencing issues", rather than.. "Here's your
update.  Now do this, and this, and this, and this - hopefully your
machine will still work"
