Booting Ubuntu 8.10 RC I get a black screen shortly after Gnome tries
to start. The computer hangs and have to manually shutdown. Same thing
with Kubuntu 8.10 Rc, here it stops with the KDE splash on the screen,
then have to manually shutdown. Strange thing though, Xubuntu 8.10 Rc
works just great! All earlier Ubuntu's and derivates have worked great
on this computer.
My PC is a Dell optiplex gx 260 fairly standard I would say. 1.8 proc
1Gigab.
