I'm using Ubuntu Intrepid - KDE Version 4.1.2 Fully updated from repository releases.
Downloaded Kubuntu-Desktop from a regular Ubuntu-Desktop release - So I have both gnome and kde side by side. I have the white icons bug too, sometimes they respond, sometimes they don't.
