i can confirm this is the case. when auto wlan0 is set. it takes one full timeout to continue booting.
uname -a: Linux lappy 2.6.27-7-generic #1 SMP Fri Oct 24 06:42:44 UTC 2008 i686 GNU/Linux interfaces: auto lo iface lo inet loopback iface wlan0 inet dhcp auto wlan0 --- if i set up a wireless network, and it happens to be in range, the network loads correctly with no delays. removing auto wlan0 fixes it, but defeats the purpose. im not using the network manager, since my rt73 wireless card will not work well with it. any extra info i'll be happy to provide -- Intrepid - configuring network during boot takes very long https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/290230 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
