You have been subscribed to a public bug by Jamie Strandboge (jdstrand): Ubuntu 8.10 rc updated to 27.10.2008. Package - I'm using networkmanager-gnome applet 0.7~~svn20081020t000444-0ubuntu1 .
Using the network manager, when I edit the "Network Conections" screen, and select "Wireless Security" tab. I uncheck "Connect automatically" . The parameters are - Security Dynamic WEP (802.1x) Authentication Protected EAP (PEAP) PEAP Version Version 0 Innerr Authentication MSCHAPv2 User Name <xxxxx> Password <....> The problem is that when I log out, or restart the Laptop, the user name and password are kept, and an automatic connection to the wireless network is established when logging in. I expect the user name and password - not to be shown, and even encrypt the password (not clear text). Other people use the same Laptop. I would like to re-enter the user name and password . Thanks, Ofir S. ** Affects: network-manager-applet (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Bug in network-manager-gnom - Ubuntu 8.10 rc. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/290180 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is a direct subscriber. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
