Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xorg
This is a regression since it was working fine in at least intrepid
beta1.
But now in RC Intrepid doesn't recognise my Radeon Mobility X300 on
Thinkpad T43 and provides vesa driver. I manually edited xorg.conf and
changed from vesa to ati, now I have direct rendering but still jockey
doesn't offer me the option to install fglrx.
A second problem (maybe should open a second bug) is that it doesn't
give me the option to display something using my external display.
xrandr doesn't find my display connected to video port. I think it's
also a problem with xorg that doesn't add my second monitor.
Expected Behaviour:
Ubuntu should auto set my driver to ati and offer me fglrx. Also I should be
able to plug and play external devices.
