Public bug reported:
'E:Dynamic MMap ran out of room, E:Error occurred while processing
linux-headers-2.6.24-17-generic (NewVersion1), E:Problem with MergeList
/var/lib/dpkg/status, E:The package lists or status file could not be
parsed or opened.'
Reported this before. Suggested workaround of increasing memory in
apt.conf not possible as I can only find the daemon apt.conf.d and not
the conf file.
