I also can confirm this bug, and same results, on the same laptop. No distro seems to yet have a solution (fedora rawhide, suse factory, mandriva cooker, etc.), and compiling from upstream hasn't helped either.
Has anyone tried using a GEM enabled kernel to tap into the latest capabilities of the driver?
