Public bug reported:

System is acer aspire 1359 laptop (from around year 2000).
Athlon XP cpu
VIA KM400 motherboard

I'm using the latest 8.10 RC version
kernel version is 2.6.27.7.11

Crash happens after I wake up system from suspend state. Wired network
stops working complitely but everything else in system works without
problems (including onboard wireless RTL818x card)

steps to reproduce:
1. suspend the system
2. wake up
3. try to reconnect to wired network
