I have a 24" screen and have no problem resizing the windows. Making the window deco bigger is simply not an option when working on a smaller sized screen...the borders are huge and waste space. It has nothing to do with being an olympic athlete, if you do not like the default, change it, you are certainly free to do that with linux.
