Thanks for your bugreport.
This looks like dpkg crashed during the upgrade. Could you please run
"ls -l /var/crash" and check if there is a crash file for dpkg? If so,
please run: "apport-cli -c var/crash/*dpkg*.crash" to create a new
bugreprot with it.
