I can also confirm that this debdiff fixes the issue for me. I too was a bit confused about what to do about such a debdiff, but then a quick search at google got me this: https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuPackagingGuide/BuildFromDebdiff which told me anything I needed to know.
