I am experiencing the same problems on my HP NC6320 laptop running the
official 8.10 release.

I can use my laptop normally, but when i have my wifi card on, after a
while the whole system freezes as sayd here above. I think it has
something to do with scanning of the neighborhood that it locks up?

Everything is locked up, I can't restart X with
Ctrl+Alt+Shift+Backspace, can't go to tty1 with Ctrl+Alt+F1. My mouse is
locked up. As said, the only way is to shutdown the laptop hard with the
off-switch. And then reboot

PS. Another thing why I think it has to do with iwl scanning the
neighborhood is that If i use my wifi for like two\three minutes,
disable wireless, enable wireless and reconnect, and rerun that process
after 3 minutes again. I can use wireless all day without freezing. But
that just isn't the way :P Neither is a cable on a laptop imho.

Anybody who (attemps to) fix(es) this problem, Thanks in advanced!

Greets,
Dennis
