Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: mplayer

Using Hauppauge WinTV USB 2 on Ubuntu Intrepid (all updates) with
mplayer 2:1.0~rc2-0ubuntu17+medibuntu1

The same worked like a charm before upgrading to intrepid. (»
Regression)

Command:
$ mplayer -ontop -vo gl2 tv:// -tv
driver=v4l2:width=640:height=480:outfmt=i420:device=/dev/vbi0:channels=R12-"Das
Erste",SR11-"2DF",SR12-"WDR",40-"NDR",R11-"Nederland 1",R7-"Nederland
2",52-"rtl4)",53-"rtl5)",54-"rtl7)",29-"rtl8)",60-"Net 5",61-"SBS

13",32-"Nickelodeeon",SR17-"Canvas",R10-"KetNet",SR14-"RTV Arnhem",SR15-"TV
Gelderland",27-"Rai Uno",SR13-"TRT int"

Expected (and experienced in Hardy):
Video window opens, playing the last selected channel.

Actual result:
Mplayer crashes with the following output:

MPlayer interrupted by signal 11 in module: demux_open
- MPlayer crashed by bad usage of CPU/FPU/RAM.
  Recompile MPlayer with --enable-debug and make a 'gdb' backtrace and
  disassembly. Details in DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports_what.html#bugreports_crash.
- MPlayer crashed. This shouldn't happen.
  It can be a bug in the MPlayer code _or_ in your drivers _or_ in your
  gcc version. If you think it's MPlayer's fault, please read
  DOCS/HTML/en/bugreports.html and follow the instructions there. We can't and
  won't help unless you provide this information when reporting a possible bug.
