Does this happen when trying to kill any process, or just when trying to kill processes that belong to another user (ie, require you to authenticate)? If that is the case, then this is a duplicate of bug 206583. wpa_supplicant will be running as root, so would g-s-m would prompt for a password if you tried to kill it
