I tried to reproduce this using the Ibex kernel, but wasn't able to after some brief testing. It looks like totem has been changed significantly too though (I installed Intrepid), so it's also possible that it's not crashing on exit any more and thus not exposing bugs.
I tried raising some random SEGV signals on totem, but I didn't really expect that to work and indeed it didn't.
