Same Problem with

$ lspci -v

$ head -n 1 /proc/asound/card0/codec* 
Codec: IDT 92HD73E1X5

Also my channels are wrong! They totaly mixed up (ie. Front Left and
Front Right are not on the same cable).

OS: Ubuntu 8.10 final, fresh install.

Will a alsa upgrade zu rc3 or git help?
