Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: linux-image-2.6.27-7-generic

I have recently installed Xubuntu Intrepid Ibex 8.10 x64 (fresh install)
and the ethernet driver stops working periodically and NETDEV emits a
warning to dmesg. I've been using Xubuntu on the machine through Fiesty,
Gutsy and Hardy and have not seen the problem before.

This morning (5/11/8) I ran an apt-get upgrade which upgraded linux-
image-2.6.27-7-generic but the problem remains. The package is now on
version linux-image-2.6.27-7.16.
