Please reopen, I did a fresh install of Xubuntu 8.10 and I get the same symptoms

Applications > Settings > Settings Manager > Screen Saver > Superquadrics * Does this happen with screensavers other than Molecule, such as braid or xrayswarm? yes * When this happens, can you hit Ctrl+Alt+F2? Does the system change to the black terminal screen with a login?
