I just ran across this: http://ubuntustudio.org/8-10_release_note
"We are sad to announce the real time kernel won't be installed by default in Ubuntu Studio in this release. Because of some issues that were out of our control, the real time kernel in this release has some problems: only supports one processor (even on dual core machines) and suspend/hibernation/shutdown don't work properly because of conflicts with the Network Manager. We are doing our best to get these fixed, the kernel is in the repository for those who want it anyway and an upgrade with the pristine version will be available soon." -- linux-rt restricted to one CPU https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/290498 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
