** Description changed:

  Binary package hint: avidemux

Tried to convert MJPEG video clip to iPod compliant MP4 format using given
preset.
It fails when starts to compress file. Error message says something related
to sound.

When run from commandline, error message is much more useful: Sound is
PCM 11024 Hz, which is out of range for FAAC. Simply resampling sound
to, for example, 22100 Hz makes the trick.

Avidemux package version is 1:2.4.1-0.0ubuntu1, Ubuntu release is hardy.

This seems to have been an upstream bug, as it is reported to have been
resolved on later upstream releases. I think this patch or the package
as a whole should be backported to Ubuntu.
+
+ FIXED on intrepid. Unable to keep tracking of package state in hardy due
+ to update.
