Public bug reported: Binary package hint: gnome-power-manager
OS: Ubuntu Intrepid 64bit Notebook: MacbookPro 3.1 Special software: mactel repository with hal-applesmc and the adapted gnome-power-manager The gconf-editor has (AFAIK) two settings for the keyboard backlight, both in apps -> gnome-power-manager -> keyboard They work as intended: when I plug in/pull out the power cord, the keyboard is set to the values specified there. After suspend/resume the last setting is remembered. My problem is that after booting and entering my username/password in gdm, while GNOME is loading the keyboard backlight gets set to _full_ brightness (before entering my user data in gdm, the keyboard stays dark, which is good). This happens both on AC and battery, regardless of the settings in gconf (for example if both are at 0). I can't find a setting to turn this off or even set it to any other brightness level. This happened with the default Intrepid gnome-power-manager as well, before I enabled the mactel source. ** Affects: gnome-power-manager (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- keyboard brightness at 100% after login https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/295343 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
