Same problem here, with an EeePC 700 with Hardy (gnome-power-manager
2.22.1-1ubuntu4 and linux-image-generic 2.6.24.21.23). Suspend to disk
seems to work fine, except that after resuming it displays the warning
about "hibernate failed". Also, g-p-m is probably to blame for the
beeping noise I get during resuming (it sounds very much like /usr/share
/gnome-power-manager/gpm-suspend-failure.wav).

Attached is a syslog snippet of a "failed" hibernation. There's a line
stating "gnome-power-manager: (oliver) hibernate failed"; but I don't
see what exactly it complains about. Resuming worked fine from my point
of view.

Any ideas how to debug this?
