Same problem here, with an EeePC 700 with Hardy (gnome-power-manager 2.22.1-1ubuntu4 and linux-image-generic 2.6.24.21.23). Suspend to disk seems to work fine, except that after resuming it displays the warning about "hibernate failed". Also, g-p-m is probably to blame for the beeping noise I get during resuming (it sounds very much like /usr/share /gnome-power-manager/gpm-suspend-failure.wav).
Attached is a syslog snippet of a "failed" hibernation. There's a line stating "gnome-power-manager: (oliver) hibernate failed"; but I don't see what exactly it complains about. Resuming worked fine from my point of view. Any ideas how to debug this? ** Attachment added: "syslog-hibernate-failed.txt" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/19472984/syslog-hibernate-failed.txt -- gnome-power-manager says that HAL was unable to hibernate right after hibernation https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/81960 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
