Hi crhossen, I have done the following: 1. Create Live CD of Xubuntu 8.10 2. Boot Laptop from cd, then select F6 and added 'acpi=off noapic'
The installation works fine until the "copying files" stage. Then it freezes. Any other suggestions? Thanks.
