** Summary changed: - Sound annoyance in Ubuntu 8.10 + Sound annoyance in Ubuntu 8.10 (resolved)
** Description changed: Fresh install of Ubuntu 8.10. I have an SB Audigy 2 sound card. Sound was fine in Hardy and Gutsy. I get no login sound (or logout for that matter - but I've never gotten a logout sound in any release), Any sound marked "Default" in System>Preferences>Sound>Sounds will not play from there. Ones I've changed will play, and otherwise all other sound in all other apps works perfectly. I hear sounds when "test" is pressed under the Devices tab. Not a biggie, but I miss the cool login music. + + I replaced all "default" sounds that I use with their actual default + file, and now everything works as expected. So, the problem is fixed, + but I don't know why I had to do that in the first place. + + Jef -- Sound annoyance in Ubuntu 8.10 (resolved) https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/294981 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
