Public bug reported: $ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 8.10 Release: 8.10
Package: network-manager 0.7 network management framework daemon Using the network manager, my samsung Z560 is recognized as a Samsung Z100 and I select the Portuguese network TMN in the initial auto setup. After, I try to connect the mobile broadband network, but always fail to connect. I have done the upgrade to Ubuntu 8.10 and I am working with network manager 0.7.0. In attach I send the tail of the syslog and a dump of lshal. If I configure everything manual with pppconfig and wvdial my samsung works fine. I tried that in the pass but only with Ubuntu 7.10 not with 8.10. I also tried in the some mobile network, with a Nokia N95-1 and it seams everything works just fine and out of the box. So should be some issue with the Samsung phone and NetworkManager 0.7. I do not know if is relevant but my samsung is lock to TMN Network (Portugal) and my Nokia is not lock to any network. The test I had done with Nokia N95 was also with TMN Network (Portugal). ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New -- SGH-Z560 does not connect with NetworkManager070 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/295723 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
