Same with me.(both on my Dell Optiplex 745 and on my Albacomp laptop with a Clevo motherboard. And this notebook has never had any problems with any earlier distros of Ubuntu!) I experienced this shutdown failiure only since the last phase(s) of Interpid. The beta versions (or even the alpha 5-6) of 8.10 worked fine. All the more annoying that it's the final version of the latest distribution that wont work! (On a Lenovo 3000 N200 notebook however it works all right.) Any help would be appriciated.
