Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: morse-x

Version numbers upstream follow the format 0.YYYYMMDD and multiverse has
YYYYMMDD. For example, the package released on 15 Apr 2004 has version
number 20040415 in multiverse and 0.20040415 in the debs on the author's
home page (http://213.239.210.122/~sbeyer/#morse-x)

The implication is that if I install a newer version from the author's
page, the system wants to 'upgrade' to the older version in the
repositories.

** Affects: morse-x (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
