Oh, interesting. I don't really agree with the course of action though, since in over 10 machines, I don't have a single one that works with acpi-cpufreq. It's all well and good to want to move in that direction, but if the majority of people need an undocumented BIOS hack to make things work, it's hardly better than just using the deprecated modules.
