Confirmed as well on my Pavilion dv6646us notebook. Have to hold down a key during the bouncing progress bar which can be released once it gets to the actual progress bar.
I'm running a tri-boot configuration with Vista, XP, and Ubuntu 8.10...Vista being the controlling bootloader.
