I loaded a newer version on the computer, but it would not work, so I
reloaded the old one then did upgrades, haven't had chance to work on it
since.  Have been changing granddaughters computer to Ubuntu 8.10 from
windows.  spending spare time on it to make sure it works for her when I
return it.  She had never used linux, so needs to be fairly flawless.
Thanks for the contact, I will probably not have chance to work on old
computer until after Christmas.  Monte
