Hello I have the same problem. I do not understand: WHy is there a general interfaces file while each user can establish his own network? THat is not consistent.
ANd while You on it: Redesign this whole file! Here is my proposal <auto> eth0/ath0/mobile/dsl static ip/dhcp address subnet gateway dns1 dns2 ... search domain1 search domain2 ... and so on Please establish interfaces for each user. And please ensure that all networks are written in correctly! I installed 3 networks and only one was listed in the interfaces file. ANd by the way: The MAC-Id is fixed for each device. Why is there drop-down list instead of a simple textfield in the "new-network" mask, which lists all available mac-ids? I still have to look up the mac via ifconfig. -- network admin doesn´t change interfaces file https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/127948 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
